Spend your summer serving, building relationships, and impacting lives for Jesus Christ. Jesus was incredibly relational. He cared deeply for people and spent time investing in their lives. We want every camper, volunteer, and staff member that comes to Hanging Rock to feel at home, to be individually known, and to grow deeper in love with their God. So, we intentionally establish and strengthen relationships with Christ. Hanging Rock strives to be a place of renewal, connection, and growth. Our vision for Hanging Rock Christian Camp is to build and sustain a thriving Christian camp where guests experience rest, renewal, and a deepening relationship with God and others through continued investment in our facilities, programs, and hospitality to meet the evolving needs of a growing ministry.

What to Expect: Hanging Rock has approximately 208 acres and several buildings. Last summer, we had 2,416 campers. As part of our Summer Staff, you'll join a team working together to create a welcoming place where campers can have fun, grow in their faith, and encounter the love of Christ. 

Why It Matters: Each role makes a difference. Whether you're helping with meals, cleaning, facilitating activities, or welcoming guests, your work helps make meaningful camp experiences possible. Expect busy days, hands-on work, opportunities to learn, and plenty of moments to laugh and make memories with your team.

We are looking for high school & college-aged Christians who are willing to work hard, take initiative, stay flexible, and serve others with Christlike hospitality & attitudes. You don't need to have everything figured out-bring a teachable spirit and a willingness to help wherever you're needed!

WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING AT HANGING ROCK CHRISTIAN CAMP?

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

  • Program Staff facilitate recreational activities, help clean buildings/pool, and take care of our dorms as Dorm RAs. (Minimum age of 18 & be willing to be lifeguard certified).

  • The Camp Intern assists our event coordinators to lead each week of camp. (Must have worked at Hanging Rock before & minimum age of 18)

  • The First Aid Attendant helps assist our volunteer nurses and attends to campers in need. (Minimum age of 18 needs to be First Aid & CPR certified)

  • The Maintenance Assistant provides help for facilities & groundskeeping. They will report to our Building/Grounds Director.
    (Minimum age of 16 & having their driver's license is preferred. Must be able to commute).

  • Attends both dining halls and checks that food is stocked up & ready during mealtimes.
    (Minimum age of 18).

  • Kitchen Assistants help prepare and serve food to campers and clean up after meals. Reports to the cook. (Minimum age of 16. Must be able to commute).

  • Dishwashers wash dishes and assists other needs in the Dining Hall. Reports to the cook.
    (Minimum age of 14. Must be able to commute).

  • Creative Assistants will be in charge of taking pictures, videos, and edit content for each camp throughout the summer. They may also assist in the Chapel by facilitating the sound system and presentation slides during worship sessions. (Minimum Age of 16).

  • Canteen Manager

    Helps with all Canteen times by setting up, serving campers, and closing down the Canteen store.

  • Lifeguard

    Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of our campers at the pool. (Minimum age of 15).

HRCC STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We confess Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of the living God, as our Lord and Savior. We are obedient to His command to be baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of sin and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We live with hope through Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and ascension into heaven trusting in His promise to live in eternal glory with God.

I agree to abide by all the rules and guidelines set before me as an employee of Hanging Rock Christian Camp. I have answered all questions truthfully. I will not hold the camp management, trustees, or sponsoring churches responsible for accidents caused by negligence or disobedience on my part. I accept primary responsibility of medical coverage while working at Hanging Rock. Further, I give Hanging Rock permission to use photo and video taken at camp in promotional materials.
